Preparing the Field: How a Distribution Day Comes Together
Before a single box is handed over, there are boots packed, lists checked and a car park that becomes a warehouse.
A distribution day looks calm from the front - tables in a line, families moving through. From the back it is choreography.
The morning starts with packing: food staples and hygiene items counted against a beneficiary list, sacks labelled by household size. The car boot that leaves the office is not decorative - it is inventory.
On site, community volunteers guide the queue while our team verifies and hands over. The photos from this run capture the unglamorous middle - carrying sacks, checking names - which is where trust is actually built.
