Free Health Screening Reaches 300 Residents in Oyo
Our field team ran blood pressure, blood sugar and vision checks across three communities - early detection, on the spot.
In early March, Tibest Bestli Healthcare Foundation took its mobile clinic to three wards on the outskirts of Ibadan. Over two days, clinicians screened more than 300 adults for hypertension, diabetes and common eye conditions - many of whom had not had a check in over a year.
The tent was simple: tables, handheld devices, and a lot of listening. Every person left with a result sheet, a short counselling session and a referral where needed. For us, the takeaway was familiar - bring care to where people live and the queue forms itself.
We are grateful to the community leaders who opened their compounds and to the volunteers who kept the flow calm and respectful. More outreach dates will be announced soon.
